What they should have done was release a different cable for the PC version, one that also included an output you could patch into your soundcard's line-in, that way keeping all of the audio routing inside one device and thereby reducing latency the right way. However, you will always get better latency performance when using an input and output on the same device as opposed to input on one windows audio device and output on the other.
